Some weeks feel like a 100 km mile uphill climb. I am very glad that today is Wednesday, which means it’s all downhill to the weekend and my first American holiday – Labour Day. Regardless of how some people are trying to guilt trip me, I am most definitely NOT working this weekend – even if it means I don’t accomplish anything this quarter (I’m being melodramatic aren’t I? One weekend isn’t going to change anything much).
I don’t know. I predicted this week would be hard. The “honeymoon” period is over and people are now expecting real results from me at work (as they should). But I am having a lot of trouble adjusting to the work culture here. This coupled with some very warm and sleepless nights makes me feel… unmotivated and tired.
But I will stop complaining.
I miss NZ.
